My design journey started with running social media for streamers (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and editing videos. The part I enjoyed most was the visuals: thumbnails that had to stand out, catch the viewer's eye and make them click on the video. Learning to design that kind of thing was really challenging for me, but also interesting.

Now I design more than just thumbnails: posters, editorial layouts, book covers and logos. I prefer a minimalist style with a cool color palette and plenty of space, but I really like to experiment and try something new, sometimes even the complete opposite of my usual style.

Games have been a big part of my life since childhood and shaped a lot of who I am, and becoming a professional Dota 2 player was a dream come true. I left esports, but games still inspire me in their own way, and this portfolio is the proof. Can you guess which game inspired it?

I pay close attention to details, but I don't like overloading a design with them. I learn fast and I'm open to new ideas. I have my own taste, but I try not to lock myself into it, so I keep studying very different styles to broaden my visual library. And esports taught me how to work in a team, because in a team game that matters more than anything.

I'm Roland, a graphic designer in Potsdam. I love creating designs that share a feeling in a single glance and make people stop, even for a couple of seconds.
